Pakistan marked a transformative moment in its education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) landscape with the successful hosting of the Global Skills Summit, organized by GEMS Pathways. The landmark event brought together distinguished representatives from City & Guilds UK, international delegations, senior government officials, industry leaders, and partner centers to collaboratively shape the future of education and workforce development in Pakistan.

The summit served as a strategic platform to reimagine skills development, strengthen international partnerships, and align Pakistan’s education framework with global standards. Key discussions focused on innovation in vocational training, international qualification pathways, and preparing learners for the demands of a rapidly evolving global economy.

A defining highlight of the summit was the announcement of a historic milestone for Pakistan’s education sector, the official launch of the City & Guilds International Foundation Programme, IGCSE, and A-Levels in Pakistan. These internationally recognized qualifications have received formal approval from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), opening new global academic and career pathways for students nationwide.

This achievement represents a major step forward in elevating Pakistan’s education standards, expanding access to internationally accredited qualifications, and strengthening the country’s position in the global skills ecosystem.

The Global Skills Summit stands as a powerful testament to Pakistan’s commitment to educational excellence, international collaboration, and sustainable skills development for the future.
