
KARACHI – February 26, 2025 – In a major stride for healthcare education in Pakistan, the Dow Skills Development Centre (DSDC) at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) has officially been accredited by City & Guilds, a globally recognized leader in vocational education and skills certification
The accreditation visit, led by GEMS Pathways—the authorized representative of City & Guilds in Pakistan—included:
- Tabish Fareedi, Country Manager
- Muhammad Irshad, Head of Quality Assurance
- M. Furqan Iqbal, Academic Head
Prominent figures also joined virtually:
- Dr. Amir Saadati, Executive Director, GEMS Middle East
- Dr. Tony Degazon, Regional Manager, City & Guilds/ILM (Middle East, North Africa, and Europe)
- Senior leadership from GEMS Pathways and City & Guilds
With this milestone, DSDC is now authorized to offer GEMS City & Guilds Accreditation Programmes, enabling Pakistani healthcare professionals to access internationally recognized training and globally accepted certifications.
